While Dr. Baudean is equipped to resolve complex dental concerns, he also strives to prevent those problems from arising in the first place. By visiting our office for regular dental exams, you allow us to screen your mouth for decay, periodontal disease, and even oral cancer. Catching any dental trouble early in its development will save you time, expense, and discomfort.

Most patients benefit from two exams per year. Get in touch to schedule your next dental exam today – it’s never too early to get it on the schedule!

Dental Exams

During a dental checkup, we will screen your mouth for signs of decay, evaluate your level of oral health, discuss your oral hygiene regimen, and clean your teeth. Should you have a cavity, we will set up an appointment to fill it with a tooth-colored composite filling. If your teeth are especially sensitive, we may offer you fluoride treatment to remineralize your enamel.

Overall, your dental exam is a time to check in with Dr. Baudean (and with yourself!) as to the state of your teeth and the ways in which you’ve been caring for them. If you have any questions or are looking for dental product recommendations, don’t hesitate to ask. Remember that we’re here to help, and welcome the chance to help our patients down the path to sound oral health.

Periodontal Treatment

If your oral hygiene hasn’t been thorough, there’s a chance that plaque will begin to build up on your teeth. This can lead to the beginnings of gingivitis, or gum inflammation. If allowed to progress, gingivitis will one day give way to periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease is an infection of the tissues around your teeth. It will need to be treated with haste to preserve your teeth, gums, and smile. Prolonged periodontal disease will lead to:

  • Gum recession
  • Exposed tooth roots (highly sensitive areas)
  • Discolored teeth
  • Decaying tooth structures
  • Spaces between teeth where gum tissue should be
  • Inflamed or reddened gums
  • Loose teeth
  • Tooth loss

If you’re struggling with any stage of gum disease, we will provide you with the immediate treatment and lifelong tools you need to heal. Suspect your gums may be ailing? Get in touch with us right away.
